La isleña was an artist residency and solo exhibition at the Centro de Arte La Regenta in Las Palmas, Spain. The project explored my feelings of curiosity and containment as I navigated the island of Gran Canaria. As time passes the island changed many things for me, from the way I dressed, to what seemed real. I became interested in the idea of my studio, or even a paper surface, as its own kind of island. The exhibition was on view from September 11 to October 20, 2018.
