The exhibition Faces da Lua was at O Sol Aceita Pele Para Ficar in Guimarães, Portugal from Sept. 17 – Oct. 15, 2016. The arrangements of fresh flowers came from the town market, and included Fin de verão (end of summer). The candles, which together mark my height according to the tradition of ‘paying promises’ to the local saint, are from the Igreja de Sao Torcato nearby. I made 20 paintings over 3 days and invited visitors to paint at the opening. Filipa Araújo wrote a text about the piece here. More photos of the installation here.
Thanks to Max Fernandes, Filipa Araújo, José Almeida Pereira, and Cristina Regadas.
